Refund Policy

14-day cooling-off period

Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, you have 14 calendar days from the date you receive your Certificate of Insurance to cancel without giving a reason and without penalty.

If no cover has been used and no claim has been made, you will receive a full refund of the premium, minus a €25 administration fee, within 14 days of us receiving your written cancellation request.

Cancellation after the cooling-off period

You may cancel mid-term at any time. The refund is calculated as:

Refund = Premium paid × (days remaining / 365) − €50 cancellation fee

No refund is due if a claim has been made or notified on the policy. Refunds are paid back to the original payment method within 14 days of cancellation.

If we cancel

If the partner insurer cancels your policy due to non-disclosure or fraud, no refund is due and the matter will be reported on the insurance industry's anti-fraud database.

If we (or the partner insurer) cancel for any other reason, you will receive a pro-rata refund with no fee.

How to cancel

Email insurance@inloovi.com from the address registered on your policy, with subject line "CANCEL [policy number]". You can also send the request by post to the registered office shown in the footer of this site.

Chargebacks

If you raise a chargeback with your bank instead of contacting us first, your policy will be voided from inception and the partner insurer may report the cancellation to the Irish Motor Insurance Database. Please contact us first — we resolve most refund queries within 2 working days.
